About The Writer
Peter Osmond is a life long movie fanatic, a collector of cult movies on dvd's and an aspiring screenwriter. He spends his time collecting tons of film knowledge for that all important pub quiz. He started the website so he could tell the world his feeling and thoughts on a particular film and so far it's seemed to have paid off.

About The Website
CINE-APOCALYPSE.COM started life as Pedro Of The Dead then changed to Pedro's Drive In Movie Massacre, which was basically a blog where I wrote down what films I had recently seen and what I had thought about them. I first set it up in December 2009 but it  wasn't until March 2011 thatI decided to turn the site from a blog to a full review site which led me to purchasing the domain name and officially launching on Google and various other search engines.

The point of the site was to review films that are not normally covered on film review websites, it
originally started with me reviewing a film id seen for the first time from my own dvd collection
and that is still the main driving force behind the site. I do have additional writers. One does
comparison reviews of horror movies, Original VS Remake and I have a writer who focuses on the
alternative side to Asian cinema. I say alternative but what I mean is the non Kung Fu/martial arts
side of Asian cinema. I am not a journalist, I am a film fan, which probably comes over in my
writing, we have no censorship when it comes to what is written, obviously sexism and racism is a
no no but you will find that a lot of reviews do have swear words which is mainly due to the
enthusiasm of the writer, especially myself. I never intended for the site to become overly
professional, the site was created by a fan of cult and genre cinema for fans of cult and genre
cinema.

Since Launching in March the site has been doing very well, we get readers from all over the world,
our main readers are from the U.S and U.K but we've had readers from Malaysia, India, Russia,
Australia, Canada and many other places which is great for the site as we have a world wide
audience. We are nearing 20,000 visitors which is astonishing for a website created by one person
from his living room and I hope we continue to attract more viewers.
I have noticed that the most popular reviews are Asian films and although we don't have many at
the moment, Bedevilled and Young Bruce Lee are the ones that people seem most interested in. We
will hopefully be getting more into the side of world cinema as my London based writer is the asian
and world go to guy for all thing subtitled and he's keen to get writing. The site is more a place for
people who want to check out if a film is any good, be it new or be it discovering a classic like
Dirty Harry or The Killing or rediscovering a lost gem of 80s sci-fi, that was my plan, to preserve
genre cinema because I love it and I know others do too.
The major turning point for the site and for me as a reviewer was being contacted by a Canadian
film-maker asking if I could review his film, a film that was selected for the Cannes Independent
Film Festival. This was the point at which I knew people were reading my reviews and in essence
digging them.

Like I have said, I am not a journalist, I don't make money from my reviews. I am just like any
other film obsessive but I let people know what I thought of a film and just like any other film fan I
too am constantly discovering new films. I do the site when I am free, if I am not in work or
watching a film, I am reviewing them for the readers. I hope the site keeps on getting readers but as
it stands at the moment, I like the way it's going and hopefully can stay on this path.
Thanks for reading
